Personal Umbrella Insurance
Personal Umbrella insurance provides added liability protection above and beyond the limits on your homeowners, auto, and boat policies. Coverage is sold in increments of $1 million.
You may need it now more than ever
Liability insurance protects assets and future earnings from judgment for legal liability from bodily injury and property damage to others. Most homeowners, auto and other “primary” policies can only provide up to $500,000 coverage. In the past few years, the Maine Legislature has increased the maximum damages under the Wrongful Death Statute to $500,000 plus $75,000 in punitive damages. This does not include damages for other injuries or property damages. Without a personal umbrella policy, your personal assets are exposed to damages. The best insurance bargain
Umbrella premiums are surprisingly reasonable. Often, a family with two cars, a home and a boat can be protected for less than $200.00 per year. Not bad for $1 million of coverage!
